The construction of the Passat inclusive carousel is based on a spacious, stable disc-shaped platform with a diameter of 220 cm, which allows safe access for two wheelchairs and comfortable use of the device during rotation. The large platform surface allows two wheelchair users and four users seated on comfortable benches finished with durable polyethylene panels to use the carousel simultaneously.
The rotating mechanism has been designed so that the carousel moves smoothly, and driving it with the centrally positioned steering wheel is easy and intuitive – both for carers and the users themselves, if their abilities allow. The equipment supports the development of coordination, arm strength and balance, enabling full, inclusive play for all participants.
The platform is made of chequered aluminium plate, which provides high abrasion resistance, excellent grip and safe use in all seasons. The carousel’s construction is made of steel with anti-corrosion protection and powder coating, guaranteeing long-lasting durability even under intensive use.
The carousel meets the requirements of PN-EN 1176-1:2017 and PN-EN 1176-5:2019, confirmed by certificates issued by the accredited certification body TÜV SÜD. Thanks to this, the Passat carousel can be safely installed on public playgrounds and in inclusive spaces, making them truly accessible and inclusive.
