The Power of the Wind Inspires Modern Carousel Design
We are pleased to introduce three new carousels that have joined the Gold Mark product range: Fen, Shamal, and Oroshi. While each model has its own unique design and purpose, they all share a common source of inspiration – the wind.
The names of our new carousels are derived from winds found in different parts of the world. Fen (Föhn) is a warm, dry downslope wind that occurs in mountain regions. Shamal is a hot, northwestern wind blowing across the Arabian Peninsula, while Oroshi is a strong, cool wind descending from the mountains of Japan. Their dynamic nature perfectly reflects the movement, energy, and excitement that our new carousels bring to modern playgrounds.
Shamal – Modern Disc Carousel
Shamal is a modern disc carousel designed for intensive use in contemporary playgrounds. It is available with two platform options: a durable aluminium plate a robust HDPE with button structure. This allows designers and investors to select the solution that best suits the project’s requirements and aesthetic preferences.
Oroshi – Modern Hanging Carousel
Oroshi is a hanging carousel designed primarily for older children and teenagers. Users stand on the foot platforms while holding the overhead handles with both hands, creating a dynamic and engaging spinning experience that encourages balance, coordination, and active play.
Its distinctive design makes Oroshi an eye-catching addition to modern playgrounds and recreational spaces.
Fen – Compact Inclusive Carousel
Fen is the smallest inclusive carousel in the Gold Mark portfolio. It has been developed specifically for projects where limited space makes the installation of a full-size inclusive carousel like Pontiac 2, or Passat impossible.
The carousel accommodates one wheelchair user together with two seated users on integrated benches, allowing children of different abilities to play together. Thanks to its compact footprint, Fen makes it easier to create accessible and inclusive playgrounds even where every square meter counts.
Certified Safety and EN 1176 Conformity
All three new carousel models are certified by TÜV SÜD and fully comply with the requirements of the EN 1176 playground safety standard, providing assurance of their safety, durability, and manufacturing quality.
