The Tornado carousel was created back in 2005, at a time when our company was just getting started. In fact,we were a two people team back then, building our first devices step by step.Like all our carousels, Tornado was designed by Andrzej Sałuda, the founder of Gold-Mark, who brought with him years of experience from companies developing play equipment for children.

At the same time, he was also coaching athletes with disabilities in sport shooting, an experience that naturally shaped the way we think about playgrounds to this day. From the very beginning, Gold-Mark was meant to create inclusive spaces for all children, including those with special needs. Thanks to that combined know-how, we were able to launch our very first carousel models: Tornado, Cyclone and Hurricane. That’s also where our tradition began, for over 20 years now, we’ve been naming our devices after weather phenomena 🙂
From those early designs, a lot has changed. Over the years, we’ve introduced many technological improvements, made possible in large part thanks to the continuous development of our machine park, which has significantly expanded over the past two decades.

From the very beginning, Tornado has been manufactured by us in-house, from raw steel to the final product. It was, and still is, the most classic version of a playground carousel, the kind many of us remember from childhood: sitting together, spinning around, simple fun that never gets old. At the time, our Tornado carousel was also a relatively small and lightweight unit, which made it practical and economical to transport, without compromising durability. And it worked. We still manufacture Tornado today, and it continues to bring joy to new generations. After all, a carousel is one of those timeless playground favorites.
And we still like to look back at our early designs, they remind us just how far our story goes.
